Wow. Can't say I agree with you, but wow. You write with such passion. And I can't disagree with you that black singers, songwriters and musicians actually made rock 'n' roll, influenced country, created jazz and the blues. But I still don't agree with you about the Beatles, they did rip off the Chuck Berry, Little Richard and so on, but they put their own spin on it, which was brilliant. And they were great musicians - it's acknowledged in the community of musicians - apart from Quincy Jones, of course.
I hate these comparisons anyway. Why would you compare Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix for example? In my view, both are great musicians who wrote, sang and played for other musicians. Or people who understand how to play music and therefore what they do. Apart from one or two songs by both of them, I find them unlistenable.
I prefer to just enjoy the music these great guys wrote and released on its own merits. Chuck Berry was marvellous. I never liked Little Richard for some reason. Nor Elvis. Love CCR. For me it's about the music, just the music.
