The USA is becoming like India, where we have so many criminals in Parliament that the joke is that it's like Tihar Jail (the Jail in Delhi). We have no rule that prevents convicts and felons from beintg elected to Parliament. This is because, during the struggle ofr Independence, most of the most senior leaders had been in jail - what's your excuse? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm really interested.
