Obviously the Citizens of the United States trusted him. He even won the popular vote - not just the electoral college. They have literally chosen fascism, xenophobia, a dangerously conservative form of Christianity - which the candidate himself doesn't follow - hatred, division and a profound ignorance of how to run a business, let alone a country. Trump's policy of tariffs is going to be the ruination of the US economy and lead to an economic war with the rest of the world. Prices will rise phenomenally and who will you blame? Immigrants, trans people, homosexuals and lesbians and 'childless cat ladies' I suppose. God help the United States, but more than that, God help the world.
